Determining the effects of pesticides on workers' health through the evaluation of biomarkers

Brazil is the largest global consumer of pesticides and this practice has resulted in countless cases intoxications that cause illness deaths to workers, significant expenses public health system disastrous environmental consequences. The work had as general objective: evaluate effects use on rural workers terms intoxication through assessment erythrocyte plasma cholinesterase biomarkers. This a cross-sectional, analytical study, comparing Group (1) directly exposed (2) users Family Health Programs (PSF), municipalities Capitólio Pimenta - Minas Gerais, Brazil, not for outcome identified by analysis Altogether 140 employees made up studied sample.
